Sắp có thế hệ smartphone Asus ZenFone giá rẻ mới

Hãng điện tử Đài Loan Asus đang nghiên cứu thế hệ hai của ZenFone sau thành công rực rỡ của dòng smartphone giá rẻ này.



Theo Focus Taiwan, trong cuộc họp với các nhà đầu tư hôm 12/8, Tổng Giám đốc Asus Jerry Shen đã tiết lộ kế hoạch phát triển ZenFone thế hệ hai. Các mẫu ZenFone 2 sẽ được cải thiện dựa trên phản hồi của người dùng từ đời thứ nhất, đồng thời nâng cấp cả về thiết kế, cấu hình máy ảnh, bộ nhớ, pin và giao diện. Phần lớn đều hỗ trợ kết nối 4G LTE và chỉ có một mẫu 3G. Ông Shen cho biết ZenFone 2 có thể được giới thiệu tại Triển lãm Điện tử tiêu dùng vào tháng 1/2015.

Lứa điện thoại giá rẻ ZenFone đầu tiên được bán tại 11 quốc gia, trong đó có Đài Loan, Trung Quốc, Indonesia, Malaysia, Việt Nam và Thái Lan. Dù năng lực sản xuất lên tới 1 triệu máy/tháng, ZenFone vẫn vấp phải tình trạng “cung không đủ cầu”. Asus dự định đưa thiết bị đến thị trường mới, Brazil, vào tháng 10 năm nay.

Hãng điện tử Đài Loan đặt mục tiêu bán được 7,5 triệu smartphone trong năm 2014, gấp 5 lần số smartphone bán ra năm 2013. Ông Shen dự báo các mẫu ZenFone 4G có thể chiếm khoảng 10% tổng doanh số smartphone năm 2014 và gần 50% năm 2015.

Trong khi đó, ông David Chang, Giám đốc Tài chính Asus, chia sẻ công ty đã chi khoảng 23,31 triệu USD để tiếp thị ZenFone trong quý II/2014.
